History was made on 30 August 1959 when American President Dwight D Eisenhower and British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan met in a live TV debate which was broadcasted from 10 Downing Street. The president was on a nine-day tour of Europe and scheduled the meeting within it.
President Barack Obama, clearly moved and upset, gave a stirring eulogy at Senator Edward Kennedy’s funeral. He gave some fascinating insights into the life of the Senator, especially regarding his sense of humour, his genuine care for others and his persuasive talent.
